What is applied kinesiology?
In a nutshell, applied kinesiology (AK) is a method of diagnosis and treatment based on the belief that various muscles are linked to particular organs and glands, and that specific muscle weakness can signal distant internal problems such as nerve damage, reduced blood supply, chemical imbalances or other organ or gland problems.
How long is a chiropractic + AK treatment?
A standard session is 15 minutes. However, Dr. Amber does offer longer, 30-minute sessions.
What is Dr. Amber's background and experience?
Dr. Amber attended Palmer College of Chiropractic to study chiropractic and simultaneously fell in love with applied kinesiology, which was taught outside the college. Read more about her background here.
What should I do to prepare for a session?
To prepare for bodywork, eat healthily, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest. Then, arrive for your session and explain your needs/symptoms so Dr. Amber can give you the best care possible.
"Dr. Amber is amazing and has more techniques in her bag and tricks than any of my previous chiropractors. She knows where to touch, how much pressure to exert, and when to stop and watch the results. My body transforms in the next minutes and days. I am so excited to come to my fourth appointment to see what new fixes will happen. This is good."
